What is a boiler service
- Ventilation is correct
- Conduct a spillage test to make sure products of combustion are burning correctly
- Burners and injectors are clear
- Check ignition and flame picture are correct
- Check the heat exchanger seals for signs of leaks or corrosion
- Fans are all working
- Check all other seals on the boiler
- Checking the gas rates which means to make sure it is burning the correct amount of gas. If it over rated it will make the boiler inefficient causing higher energy bill and dangerous as the fumes would not be able to clear. Underrated may mean the boiler may not have enough gas which may mean will never reach the proper temperature
- Check the flue is burning the right amount of CO2
- Check the condense pipe and trap is clear if applicable
- Insure all controls are working
- Check the boiler pressure
- We may need to bleed the radiators or vent the boiler
