All About Power Flush
A power flush is a process used to clean the central heating system in order to get rid of the sludges or rust that can affect the system’s efficiency. It does more than just cleaning because it also aims to bring back the normal flow of water in the system and at the same time eliminating the noise that you hear from the boiler or the pump.
How is it done?
Due to the specialization needed for the task, a power flush is carried out by a heating engineer. A pumping unit is connected into the central heating system and a cleansing chemicals are used in order to flush out any ‘dirt’ or residues in the system. The chemicals used during the process are designed to remove rusts and sludged or take out the lime scale.
